چکیده

A lack of well defined Design for Microassembly (DFμA) methodologies to enable an increased transfer of prototypes from the research lab to production on industrial scale has been identified. The main benefit of such a methodology is the adaptation of the design by matching it with microassembly process characteristics. In addition there needs to be a push in metrology equipment to respond to the ongoing trend of miniaturisation, enabling quality assurance for three dimensional products with nanometer scale features. The presented paper addresses these two gaps by utilising a novel DFμA methodology to enable a state-of-the-art CMM stylus assembly, which is characterised by extremely rigid and challenging requirements. The design of the parts to be assembled is shown. Furthermore the selection of the most suitable assembly equipment is supported. Finally the actual assembly system is described and illustrated as proof of validation.

Synthesis, Characterization and Application of Zinc Oxide with Micro Polyhedral and Nano Plate Morphologies for Simultaneous Decolorization of Two- dye Mixture in Wastewater

In this work, growth and assembly of the micro polyhedral zinc oxide was performed using airbubble assisted Triton X100, as a templating agent. In absence of air bubbling in the reactionsystem the nano plate zinc oxide was synthesized. The prepared samples were characterized by Xraydiffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and UV-Visspectrop...

A Lean Manufacturing Roadmap for an Automotive Body Assembly Line within Axiomatic Design Framework

In this paper we are to present a practical application of Axiomatic Design (AD) methodology, as a roadmap to lean production, in redesigning a car body assembly line. Axiomatic Design theory provides a framework to simplify the whole problem. According to the AD principles, a hierarchical structure has been developed. The developed structure originated in lean manufacturing principles and exis...

An Optimum Routine for Surface Modification of Ceramic Supports to Facilitate Deposition of Defect-Free Overlaying Micro and Meso (Nano) Porous Membrane

In this work, a simple and effective way to modify the support surface is developed and a nanostructure ceramic support to facilitate deposition of a defect-free overlying micro and meso (nano) porous membrane is obtained. To achieve high performance nanocomposite membranes, average pore size of outer surface of support was reduced by dip-coating in submicron and nano α-alumina slurries. In...

Application of nano- and micro-sized particles of cattle manure on soybean growth

Background: Cattle manure (CM) is the most common organic fertilizer used by farmers. However, its usually slow decomposition leads to the use of chemical fertilizers. Therefore, experiments on nano- and micro-sized particles of CM were conducted to evaluate the possibility of accelerating its decomposition in soil. Methods: The effects of a sole application of CM in different sizes (nano-, mi...

تأثیر میکرو و نانوذرات سیلیسیم بر غظت عناصر پرمصرف، کم مصرف و میزان سیلیسیم گیاه توت فرنگی در شرایط کشت بدون خاک

Silicon is one of the beneficial nutrient elements for the most of the plants. This element improve the growth and yield of plants. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of foliar spray and root application of Micro- and Nano-SiO2 on concentration of macro- and micro elements and content of silicon in canopy of strawberry. Strawberry plants in the 4-5 leaves growth stage and two weeks...
